We oppose the Post Office plans to sell off the Crown Post Office in Frederick Street, Edinburgh. This privatisation of a public service would lead to the loss of high quality jobs and a high quality service. If Frederick Street CrownOffice is sold off, these jobs would be replaced by low paid jobs and a poorer service for its customers.

The current staff are highly trained, with the experience knowledge and expertise required to provide the level of service that the people of Edinburgh deserve. We demand that the Post Office withdraws it’s plans to downgrade this office, and keep Frederick Street Crown Post Office as a publicly owned, and directly managed service.
