Students at Lockview and Harriet Tubman Public School recognized by Lieutentant Governor of Onta

Students received the Heritage Award for Youth Achievement for their efforts to secure an interpretive panel honouring Harriet Tubman's efforts to bring freedom-seekers to Canada. The panel will be located by the Whirlpool Bridge in Niagara Falls. This is the only documented crossing made by Harriet Tubman into Canada.
