Petition updateHarriet Tubman's Story of Courage and Bravery Needs to be Told
Victory! KIDS'S VOICES HAVE BEEN HEARD! 'SPIRIT OF HARRIET' VERY MUCH ALIVE!

Mme. Berner and Mrs. Chown's Grade 5 Class - Harriet Tubman Public School

21 July 2016
Linda Chown (on behalf of Gr. 2 Lockview students & Gr. 5 Harriet Tubman students) is in communication and actively working collaboratively with the Niagara Parks Commission to lay the groundwork along with other stakeholders to tell the story of Harriet Tubman's noble and courageous efforts to bring enslaved blacks to freedom. I am pleased to announce that kids will play a role in the development of a marker in the vicinity of the original bridge where Harriet entered into Canada - FREEDOM.
* Many thanks for the many individuals and organizations that helped support this worthy cause!
