Hi everyone The update On Monday, we're taking the petition to the Department of Health. I'm meeting up with my MP, Matthew Pennycook, and Sir Nicholas Soames, who is patron of charity, Group B Strep Support, plus other families, people from the charity and supporters. We'll take lots of pictures and I'll let you know how it goes next week. The ask The UK National Screening Committee is asking for comments on the report they commissioned, which is recommending AGAINST the introduction of screening for group B Strep in pregnancy. Please let them know how wrong you think this recommendation is. There's a helpful page explaining some of the key issues that Group B Strep Support has put together, and it includes links to the UK NSC's Report, and explains how to respond. The last day you can submit comments is this coming Wednesday, 25th January 2017. Every response will be read and considered - I'm writing mine. Please join me! Till next time! Fiona
