It’s come to my attention lately due to social media posts and people I know personally that there is a lack of vegan options for people staying in hospitals, I can’t say I know this to be true for every hospital, but the fact there are cases where there isn’t a single vegan option is appalling, veganism is a protected belief and vegan patients shouldn’t have to choose between going against their beliefs or starving, especially when they are already sick or vulnerable. It should be mandatory that hospitals have vegan options for their vegan patients. This would also benefit people with allergies, or are lactose intolerant etc and is much healthier food to be providing in hospitals in general.
