Hi my name is Paige. Since I was 20 years old I have been under a gynaecologist. Having been sexually active, I had contracted HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) which most women will contract. I presented to the doctor with post coital bleeding, agonising pain. I was referred for a colposcopy where they took biopsies and I had my first ever smear test. I was diagnosed with CIN 1 & 2 cells which were then removed by a LLETZ procedure. I now have annual smear tests and i am 25. I want to raise awareness, lower the age so if changes in the cervical tissue occur this is detected early enough and treatment can be started. Lower the smear test age, save lives! thanks for reading �
