In the summer of 2012 St John's Children's ward closed for 3 weeks due to a shortage of staff to cover holidays. 

Now 3 years on the same thing is happening and there are doubts about the long term future of the ward.

We the undersigned call on NHS Lothian and the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Well Being to take immediate action to ensure the long term viability of this vital service.
