Wow we have well over 200 signatures so far...it’s great but we need more...

This is just a quick update to thank you all for your efforts so far in helping to raise awareness for the need for the residents of Cumbernauld to have their own Hospital and out of hours facilities.

It’s not too late. Some people may be reluctant to sign, thinking that it’s “too late anyway, they’ve more or less decided that the new Monklands Hospital is to be built in Gartcosh”. But it’s not too late and the more awareness we raise on this issue, the more NHS Lanarkshire will have to pay attention.

And also this is not so much about where the new Monklands Hospital is to be built, as it is about Cumbernaulds’ needs. We have more than enough residents in Cumbernauld to merit having our own hospital in the town, regardless of this new Monklands Hospital.

So I would like to ask you to please continue to share the petition on all your social media sites, and to ask your friends and families to do the same. 

Now more than ever, in the light of this new Coronavirus, Covid-19, the residents of Cumbernauld deserve to have a system of healthcare in the town that is available 24/7. We should not have to travel to the furthest reaches of North Lanarkshire in emergency situations, or struggle during the night to find transport to take us there and back. 
Cumbernauld needs and deserves to have its own hospital - so please help by continuing to share and asking everyone you know to do the same.
