NHS Highland have without consultation or consideration withdrawn funding from Nairn Hydrotherapy Pool. This is detrimental to the health and well being of current and future users. Hydrotherapy (physiotherapy exercises in warm water) is proven to enhance physical and mental health, promote recovery and prevent further injury therefore saving the health service money. The short-sighted cost cutting by NHS Highland will, in the long term, cost individuals their health, mobility and independence and cause financial harm to NHS Highland.
