The air ambulance NI is currently registered as a charity and doesn’t get funding from other resources; costing roughly £5,000 for fuel and £2 million per annum. For something so important to the whole of Northern Ireland, it is so hard for the NI Air Ambulance to function and it’s constantly under stress of trying to get enough funding in order to be able to get out to any emergency! 
Over the past year the Air Ambulance NI have travelled down the ards peninsula for two crucial cases involving young people; both of which the Air Ambulance attended and successfully helped and saved their lives. Without the funding they won’t have been able to fly down and these young people would not have survived. 
These are only 2 cases of many. 
I believe the government should be funding the Air Ambulance in order for it to provide for the community and hopefully be able to get another helicopter!
