In the last year I have had a personal loss and heard of many around me that have lost their young lives to late diagnosis of pancreas cancer.  This silent killer can take anything up to 20 years to develop and does not cause many symptoms. Why would early screening or detection through scans and other means not be available. My sister in law left two very young children and her distraught husband in a matter of four months, from diagnosis to the end. Bless her soul. Approxiamtely 10 times more funding is awarded to breast cancer and only a mere 10% of funding to pancreas research. I do not intend to categorise any  cancer as all cancers are lethal and all that have this deadly disease are victims.  I have heard of numerous deaths from this disease in the last 12 months. We don't know if this or any other cancer is growing inside us right now. We don't pay our taxes for the government to cause substantial cuts to life saving treatments for early detection.  Please help and sign this petition for all those who have suffered, left us and also for the present sufferers. Our whole family are absolutely distraught. All we are requesting for is screening similar to cervical tests and breast cancer programmes. Why is pancreas so behind as the fifth largest cancer taking millions of innocent peoples lives every year. Prevention is more powerful than the cure, so the earlier we can be screened the better it would be. Early detection also provides a higher chance of survival and all necessary treatments to be provided sooner than later.
