The NHS App needs an urgent update - in its current iteration the app does not display evidence of COVID 19 booster jabs and therefore can not be used to show evidence of full vaccination status for certain individuals.

This is a serious issue already affecting key workers and those who selflessly volunteered to take part in vaccination trials over a year ago.

As an example, my sister, a nurse practitioner who took part in the 2020 Oxford Vaccine trials and has worked tirelessly on the frontline delivering care (and vaccinations!) throughout the pandemic, is now prohibited from taking a short half term break to visit our parents in Switzerland - as the NHS App is out of date it has not and will not register evidence of her booster.

Whilst evidence of this booster continues to be omitted from the NHS App, individuals receiving the booster are prohibited from international travel to many destinations and access to any UK events or venues that require proof of up to date vaccination.

If this issue isn’t rectified, it shall soon affect us all - and perhaps by then enough complaints will cause change, but right now these punitive measures are only affecting those who I’m sure we all agree are most in need of a break.

Please show your support and let the NHS know that urgent updates must be made to the NHS App right now to reflect booster jab status and allow those who have received a booster the same freedom of movement as those who are not yet due their booster.
