The Issue

The people of New Hampshire deserve an experienced, moderate person in the role of the Executive Director of the Fish and Game Department.  Glenn Normandeau has been the Director for 12 years.  He is an approachable, reasonable person and has done good things for the department.  The Fish and Game Commission voted not to reappointment him without explanation to Mr. Normandeau or the people of the state.  There has been a lack of transparency in their deliberations that is disturbing.  As someone who loves wildlife and wants to see it protected I would like to see Mr. Normandeau stay in his position.

The nominee that the Commission has put forth has testified against legislation that would help our wildlife.  He is a consumer of wildlife resources with little to no interest in conservation or working with  residents who have differing opinions.  This gentleman is a dairy farmer without any strong credentials that would qualify him to direct the Fish and Game Department.

For the benefit of the beautiful and diverse wildlife in NH, this nominee should be rejected and Mr. Normandeau should be reappointed as the Executive Director of the Fish and Game Department.
