NH Democratic Superdelegates must respect voter's emphatic vote and back Bernie Sanders!
The issue
In voting in the 2016 New Hampshire Democratic Primary locals have delivered the most emphatic victory in a contested New Hampshire Primary since 1964 to Sen. Bernie Sanders, winning by around 22%.
Well over 80% of young New Hampshire voters have backed Sen. Bernie Sanders. They are the future and they demand to be listened to and respected.
6 of the 8 NH Superdelegates have publicly backed Hillary Clinton. Namely, Joanne Dowdell, Gov. Maggie Hassan, Rep. Ann Kuster, Billy Shaheen, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Kathy Sullivan.
Most particularly New Hampshire elected officials Gov. Maggie Hassan, Rep. Ann Kuster and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen should pay particular attention to the clear public preference for the nomination.
Given the overwhelmingly and decisive outcome of the 2016 New Hampshire Democratic Primary in favour of Sen. Bernie Sanders we respectfully request the wishes and views of locals be respected, New Hampshire Superdelegates accept the electoral mood of the state and the country and in doing so endorse Sen. Bernie Sanders to be the Democratic nominee and commit to not get in the way of the popular will of the New Hampshire people.
