Change the name of 'American Football' to Handegg

The Issue

The sport that originally named Soccer in Britain (as the game involved moving the ball with the sock area of your foot) is now, in the UK at least, named 'Football' as the sport involves the use of ones foot and a spherical bouncy object know as a 'ball'. In contrast the sport currently know as 'American Football' is played with an abject known as a prolate spheroid (aka an egg shape). I will not lie, the definition of a 'ball' is "a solid or hollow spherical or egg-shaped object" however to most people in the world a ball is a bouncy sphere so the name 'American Football' is very confusing. Secondly, the game of 'American Football' is, confusingly, not played with the players' feet. In fact the vast majority of the game is played using the players' hands. Frankly, this kind misuse of language is unacceptable in sport and should be amended as soon as possible.
