Kidüs Michael started this petition to NFL and

Back in Late December, a petition on this site appeared that asked the NFL if they could play Sweet Victory at the Super Bowl LIII halftime show alongside Maroon 5, Big Boi, and Travis Scott in the wake of Stephen Hillenburg’s death from ALS. By January 2019, the petition garnered over 1 million signatures indicating that there was heavy demand for the FULL SONG to be played (including the singer himself) As the game inched closer, numerous easter eggs and hints appeared possibly hinting success and that Maroon 5 would incorporate the entire song (or at least the length of it in the episode) into the show.

And what did we get, only about a 3-5 second clip that happened to be the intro as the NFL decided to use this petition to manipulate the fans and use it to introduce Travis Scott in the 2nd act with Sicko Mode. Why, because all that time, the NFL was thinking "How can this benefit us and our advertisers? How can this benefit our ratings and how much can we profit?” Yeah, those 3-5 seconds might have been quite awesome as it was an achievement for an animated tv series to be incorporated into such an event but when the people ask for Sweet Victory to be played at the show, THEY MEAN THE ENTIRE SONG NOT JUST THE INTRO. COULDN'T HAVE YOU PUT IT AT THE END AFTER MOVES LIKE JAGGER.

I am really disappointed that Maroon 5 did not include the song. The NFL and Pepsi should be ashamed of themselves for manipulating us, lying to us, and making Sicko Mode a cursed banger. And Roger Goodell (Commissoner of NFL a.k.a the sh*thead who fired Kaepernick). You should be ashamed of yourself as you insulted a man who gave up a future of marine biology to bring joy to a generation of children with one of the most iconic shows in television history (even the people at Nickelodeon are disappointed as they prepared the clip anticipating for the song to be played).

Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and OutKast, I like all three of you and I don’t blame you on ruining the halftime show. You went out and did what you had to do. I just wish you could’ve given more. You three bear little responsibility for the problems with the halftime show (apart from the wardrobe incident but oh well). Sorry

Solution: The NFL and Pepsi need to deliver INDEPENDENT apologies for not playing Sweet Victory at the Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show and for disrespecting Spongebob fans despite numerous easter eggs and hints given by the people and companies themselves.
