for the 2018-19 year, nfhs introduced “structured parking” where the middle of the parking lot is blocked off & cars can only exit out of the ends. seniors are only permitted to exit right towards springfield pkwy, where many of us need to turn left to go towards baden village, regent park, carowinds blvd & many other neighborhoods, where going onto springfield pkwy would be adding unnecessary extra travel time.

the point of a senior parking lot is to allow seniors to have special perks, such as having more exits to get out quicker. so many of us seniors paid $75 + the cost of paint to ensure we can park in a spot that we are comfortable with & a spot close to exits so we could get home as fast as possible. unfortunately, with most of the exits blocked off, these perks have been taken away & add more frustration to our lives.

since we have started structured parking, since the sophomore/junior lot has the ability to turn left & right, their lot clears out much quicker than ours. it is frankly unfair considering the amount of money we have invested in personal parking spots.

we're not asking for much, we are only looking for either a better system to allow us to turn left, or to revert to the previous years' system where the middle lane can be used again. please hear us out.
