The Q3 has long been established as a regular bus servicing Wallsend, Walker, St Peters Basin into the Quayside through into town and Gosforth.

Due to recent cost saving measures, the Q3 is now due to stop running from Wallsend, and will now only be available to residents in St Peters basin. This means of the two buses functioning that service Walker Road into Newcastle (Q3 and 12), Walker will now only have one bus available. The 12 is already packed on a morning, as is the Q3, and it makes no sense for an area currently seeing great housing growth for public transport to be reduced.
