As of Monday 23rd March 2020, the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, stated that all non-essential shops are to close including clothing stores. Mr Johnson also stated that there should be no gatherings of more than 2 people unless they were part of the same household.

And yet, Lord Wolfson (the CE of clothing retailer Next) thinks it's ok to ask approximately 3000 people to come together in an enclosed space at 7 different distribution centres (that's 21000 people) to fulfill unessential orders. He also thinks it's acceptable to provide no financial support to those that are concerned or who are possibly infected and therefore wish to self-isolate.

The fact that he brought the mid-season sale forward 3 weeks in a last ditch attempt to make more money says it all.
