Reinstate Scott Miller as Newcastle Jets Manager
The issue
We the undersigned call on the Newcastle Jets Football Club and Owner/Chairman Martin Lee to reverse the decision on Scott Miller's Sacking....
On September 7th 2016, with less than a month before the start of the 2016/17 Hyundai A-League Season, you had relieved Scott Miller from his duties as Newcastle Jets Manager, sixteen months into his two year contract in that position, resulting in the fourth managerial change in five years. Despite a solid few months of recruiting in the offseason with talent such as Alexander Kokko, Andrew Nabbout, Wayne Brown and the return of former Jets striker Andrew Hoole, not to mention, Chinese Businessman, Martin Lee taking over as owner of the Jets Football Club, We find the senseless decision to sack Miller as Jets Manager, preferrably due to an ongoing fallout with fellow assistant manager Luciano Trani as shocking, disappointing and Neanderthalic, fans had kept hope alive this offseason for this club which have not made the A-League Finals since the 2009/10 Season...
Scott Miller who has spent years as a fitness coach and later an assistant to English club Fulham and as an assistant manager to the Socceroos, has had years of experience prior to his appointment as manager to the Newcastle Jets at the young age of 34 in June of 2015 via a phone call from Socceroos coach, Ange Postecoglou. If Scott had held onto the role as Jets Manager now, we would most certainly be a solid and competitive team in the A-League in the years to come, but however with this recent move of Scott Miller being sacked, we may not be a successful team in the coming years.
