There are only 15 days to submit further objections to Banks plans to mine at Dewley Hill.

Banks has updated its environmental impact assessment and the more technical objections submitted the better. 

Since the declaration of a climate emergency, and in light of the continuing biodiversity crisis, new arguments around the environment and fossil fuels will inform further objections.

Meanwhile, Northumberland County Council has voted in favour of allowing Newcastle City Council to decide on the Dewley Hill plans, despite the huge impact it will have on residents in Northumberland.
