Objections are still coming in while the application is still open for comment on Newcastle City Council's website.

Despite Banks' best efforts to drum up support for the plans, the number of objections now far outweighs the support.

Lots of people are concerned about the impact of this potentially devastating development on climate change, landscape, ecology, visual impact, health and wellbeing, air quality, loss of Green Belt and heritage.

What is your biggest concern?

We cannot emphasise enough how important it is to submit an individual objection - petitions only carry limited weight in comparison.

Imagine if all 17,000 signatories of this petition submitted an individual objection to the council?

Please transfer your name on this petition to a formal objection to Newcastle City Council.

The planning application reference is 2019/0300/01/DET and objections can be sent to dewleyhill@newcastle.gov.uk with an open copy to defenddewleyhill@gmail.com.
