Thank you to everyone who came to the demonstration outside Civic Centre yesterday. 

There were plenty of banners and placards and councillors were questioned on their way into the meeting, some of whom supported our calls to protect wildlife and green space.

Only 8 members of the public were allowed into the meeting, at which there was great debate as to why the Council had refused permission for us to ask a public question at a public meeting.

Thank you to the councillors who called for our question to be heard. Unfortunately, their voices - and ours - were ignored.

We will gather again outside the Civic Centre tomorrow, Friday 4th  February from 9.15am, at the same location, ahead of the planning committee meeting.
