Shameful Decision

Newcastle City Council's planning committee voted unanimously in favour of development in Cell B1 this morning.

Representatives from Save Newcastle Wildlife and Hazlerigg Parish Council spoke passionately against the preposterous plans, but many of the points raised were either overlooked or completely misinterpreted, by an almost clueless committee.

The Ouseburn Catchment Wildlife Corridor is being slowly ripped apart and with plans for another 2,500 houses at Upper Callerton and Kingston Village, things are going to get a lot worse.
