Newcastle for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

We call upon Newcastle City Council to speak out in support of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza; and the cessation of Israeli air and ground assault on Gaza.

We request council supports calls for:

• An end to Israel’s siege on Gaza, including lifting all restrictions on movement and resources into and out of Gaza
• Immediate and unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza 
• The upholding of international law, including the investigation of and accountability for breaches committed
• International mediation efforts to facilitate a just and lasting peace to the decades long conflict
• Denouncing all hate crime, including antisemitism and Islamophobia 

For a copy of this petition to be sent to the Foreign Secretary on behalf of the citizens of Newcastle upon Tyne
