Our weather is changing but our holiday time is not keeping up.  

We need to ensure we can line up our summer holiday with the best weather.  

For a country like New Zealand that prides itself on being an outdoors country, it's a bit silly to have a summer period when people can't go to the beach because it's too cold.

Our current holidays are plagued by poor weather while by the time the kids are going back to school, the sun is out, classrooms are stuffy and inattentive and we feel like we have missed their holiday.  

A proper look at how we time our holidays is needed so we can all enjoy what New Zealand has to offer.
