Make Visual Fire Alarms mandatory in New Zealand.

Make Visual Fire Alarms mandatory in New Zealand.
The issue
Did you know that there is no statutory requirement to have visual fire alarms in public buildings?
This is putting the safety of many people , including Deaf and Hard of Hearing at risk.
Recently Dean Buckley, a Deaf Student at Auckland University, was left alone during a fire drill.
Visual Fire Alarms benefit everyone including people wearing headphones to the fire alarm flashes.
Please sign our petition to make it a statutory requirement for all public buildings to have visual fire alarms in New Zealand.
