We need to save the Amazonian rain forest quick! Each day we are losing an alarming amount of the Amazonian rain forest. 20,000 square miles each year! As global citizens it's our responsibility. We did the crime now we do the time. In my petition I aim to alert the New Zealand Government of the danger in our wake and in hopes they will contact and push the Brazilian Government to take more action and make it harder to cut down trees, grow crops or have cattle ranches. The Amazonian rain forest is home to many species of animals and over 400 tribes with their own cultures, languages and food. By destroying the Amazon we are effectively evicting them. Many tribes that are forced out to civilisation die out from diseases that they are not immune to. Please sign my petition and make a change!
