Why YOUR voice can HELP our precious children
Petitioning against Child Abuse - What difference will it really make?
A genuine and fair question that we have been asked since we began our Child Abuse Petition. We truly understand why we have been asked this question especially as we witness more and more victims silenced in favour of their offenders.
I would like to answer this question on behalf of our beautiful, precious children.
-As a victim advocate I have witnessed the unforgivable violence and tragedy intentionally caused by an offender who knew the difference between right and wrong.
-As a researcher I have read hundreds of sentencing notes detailing the horrific, unforgivable abuse children from as young as three weeks old have suffered.
Most importantly as a proud Mother and Nana I have gratefully experienced the need to love, nurture, protect and honour each child's life.
When we run a Petition, you as caring adults get to have a voice. An opportunity to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Once our Petition is accepted WE then get the chance to have our say, to share our thoughts, our opinions in front of a Justice Committee in Parliament. This can be done in person as an oral submission or in writing which is submitted via the internet.
Trust me - we understand how it feels to shout but be silenced. To witness how the need for change seems far to difficult, but please know every voice, every signature, every submission is saying WE CARE and WE MUST continue to FIGHT for the much needed rights of our most innocent and vulnerable victims.
Thank You to those who have signed and shared our Petition.
