Keep the von Metzinger's in New Zealand

Kia ora. My name is Travis and my family and I originate from South Africa. We immigrated to New Zealand 9 years ago with the intention of starting a new life here. After a 9-year long legal battle with Immigration New Zealand, we have been issued a deportation notice requiring us to leave New Zealand by the 27th of January.
I believe this is unfair, as the main reason for our deportation is a pre-existing kidney condition that my brother has, which the government is reluctant to allow my father to fund despite his stated intention to do so. I have started this petition as I believe the government’s decision is wrong and immoral and we deserve the opportunity to stay and continue living here.
My family has integrated into New Zealand society; this is our home! My younger brother Ethan, and I, have grown up as Kiwi’s, having spent most of our lives here. My mother Joan, actively volunteers her time with charities such as the Kidney society as well as Kidney Kids. My father Steve, is principal project consultant and works with the Dunedin City Council, Allied Press and the University of Otago. In all ways but legally, we are New Zealanders, so I humbly ask all those reading to join me in petitioning the government to allow us to continue living in this amazing country.
