Women and girls around the girls all share one thing, we all get a period at some point in our lives. It is not something we can control and impacts us no matter what culture, religion, financial situation we are in. In New Zealand 1 in 2 women have found it difficult to access sanitary items due to cost and 1 in 5 Kiwi women have missed work or school due to a lack of sanitary products. (stats from KidsCan)Toilet paper is provided in every bathroom you go too for everyone to use, it is considered a necessity, so why are sanitary products not treated the same? We believe that Sanitary products should be provided free in all public toilets and high schools around New Zealand.
