Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau assisted over 44,000 Syrian refugees into Canada in 2015, which was a great initiative. However, right now Haitians are densely packed along the Texas border seeking asylum, and western governments have not stepped in to assist them during this GLOBAL PANDEMIC. Prime Minister Trudeau was elected into his THIRD TERM a few days ago, and has the ability to provide HUMANITARIAN AID to the Haitian people, by bringing them into this LARGE COUNTRY as they seek REFUGE. This should fall under the SAFE THIRD COUNTRY AGREEMENT. Haitians speak FRENCH, our secondary language, and similar to other Haitian-Canadians like myself, they will provide great contributions to this country. However, it is a question as to whether these governments care. If Haitians were of European/Asiatic descent, would they have already received aid? Haitians are seen in pictures and videos, being whipped and chased by white men on horses, similar to what occurred during the transatlantic slave trade. Why is the Canadian government not assisting the HAITIAN REFUGEES at the US border? They have suffered enough this year; such as the assassination of their PRESIDENT, earthquakes and tropical storms. We cannot consider ourselves a FIRST WORLD COUNTRY, if all we will do is sit back and watch the Haitian people suffer. They do not deserve this inhumane treatment. Please share THIS so that we can put pressure on the CANADIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT under Mr. Trudeau, TO PROVIDE ASYLUM TO THE HAITIAN PEOPLE.
