Food is a universal language. A language that can build understanding and break down barriers. The cheesesteak is no exception. It’s a beautiful blend of shaved beef, cheese, and a soft roll. But what if someone wants something a little different like green peppers, ranch, or even pickles on their cheesesteak? People will flood into the chat and tell you that your sandwich is wrong! 

We've seen people receive comments like: 

- Sliced ribeye is not the same as shaved ribeye, do your research ya dummies!

- Wow I'm unfollowing after this!

- That bread is TRASH! (when an Amoroso roll isn't used)

- No, just no. You can call this a steak/meat sandwich but not a cheesesteak

- Not one cheesesteak joint in Philly has green peppers (some actually do though!)

When we saw all the negative comments we knew that the cheesesteak had been imprisoned long enough. After all, it’s just a sandwich. And everyone deserves to be able to make a sandwich without being judged.

Imagine if the same thing happened to the pizza. What if the only acceptable toppings on a pizza were marinara sauce, cheese, and pepperoni? We wouldn’t have all the delicious variations we do today!
