Hello, My name is Tahl Leibovitz. I am a Social Worker (LMSW). Recently a friend of mine was in a life changing accident with her 10 year old daughter. Their car was hit head on by a drunk driver who had consumed approximately 9 glasses of wine before driving. Both mother and daughter are lucky to be alive. 10 year old daughter had brain surgery and may never fully recover. The daughter is an amazing and vibrant human being. Because of this horrible accident both mother and daughter's life has been altered forever.

It is very disturbing to know that New York State does not consider drunk driving a violent crime. This law is a law that needs to be amended. In New York State Drunk Driving should be considered a violent crime.
