HELP YONKERS PUBLIC SCHOOLS STUDENTS SUCCEED!

The Issue

Yonkers Public Schools do not receive adequate funding from the state to provide a sound basic education to it's students. Our buildings are crumbling and very overcrowded, creating an unsafe environment for the students and the staff. We beg you to do better for our children in two specific areas:

1. Adequate funding so that the students in the Yonkers Public Schools receive an equitable education compared to their counterparts in our surrounding districts.

2. A substantial increase in the New York State reimbursement rate to allow for the necessary renovations to our existing schools and relieve the overcrowding with new schools.
