We are the Inwood Owners Coalition.

We do not want Brown Sugar Bar & Restaurant to be granted an on-premises liquor license for 5060 Broadway, at West 215th Street, if they will operate a nightclub. For several reasons, we believe they will operate a nightclub and cabaret—not a restaurant—and will be extremely detrimental to the community's quality of life. The reasons we believe Brown Sugar Bar & Restaurant will operate a night club are:

         -- security guards starting at 11pm

         -- DJs and live music

         -- 26 security cameras

         -- valet parking

         -- open until 2am, 7 days a week

In addition, the immediate area is saturated with six on-premises liquor licenses within 2 blocks of 5060 Broadway.
