Dear Supporters:
It's been some time since I posted an update, so I thought that one would be in order, especially since we're just about at the unofficial half-way point of summer.
Substantial progress has been made towards completion of the Table of State Neutral Compensation Statutes, which will be a phenomenal resource not only for New York practitioners but for practitioners as well as academics throughout the country when it is finally complete. There is now relatively comprehensive information on the state of neutral compensation in fifteen (15) states (Maine and South Carolina were added today), and all of the New York federal court compensation arrangements are now included.
Nevertheless, this project is time-consuming, and I frankly could use some help completing it by the end of the summer, the unofficial deadline that I have set for its completion. There are now close to 350 supporters of this petition, many of whom are attorneys who know how to do Internet legal research. If these supporters each could volunteer to take on filling in the information for just one or two of the states that are still blank or correct any inaccurate information without deleting or otherwise compromising any correct information already present, the Table will be complete in no time at all.
Finally, there is a petition on change.org that I encourage everyone to sign pertaining to abysmal employment conditions that snack company Frito Lay has imposed upon its employees. See http://chng.it/95GmxKQ5SG. It's a sad reality that ADR is apparently not the only field where hard-working individuals are treated harshly by an unfair and unjust system.
With much appreciation for for your continued support (and in this regard, please keep promoting the petition online!) and any help that you can provide with the Table of State Neutral Compensation Statutes, as always, I wish you
All the best,
Elan
