We, the undersigned members of the Buffalo Public Schools community, want our staff members vaccinated IMMEDIATELY so that we can safely return our children to school buildings, and stop the spread of COVID-19. 

The Buffalo Public Schools community can act swiftly to vaccinate all employees if they are given a proper supply of the COVID-19 vaccination. Our teachers, our teacher aides and assistants, our bus drivers and assistants, our cafeteria workers, our engineering and janitorial staff, our secretarial staff, our administrators, and, of course, our school nurses deserve this workplace protection immediately!

Providing our BPS staff with the vaccine will allow them to feel safer as they return to schools. It will also allow parents to feel safer, knowing that an effort has been made to curb the spread of COVID-19, as we send our children back into school buildings for the first time since March 2020. 

We call on Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Department of Health et al. to provide the Buffalo Public Schools with enough vaccine doses to fully immunize our BPS community NOW! Our children deserve nothing less.
