Hello everyone,
I am sending this update to show you a picture I took today of the Mill Pond waterway. As we all known, our environment can effect our mental states. There's a lot of white residue , muck, and filth as you can see. A clean up of the water ways will also cleanse the minds of the community that deserve to have a place to spend time with nature by themselves or with their families. With covid, resources for NYS are limited so we must have many voices in our town speak on this manner so that it is not ignored by NYS DEC.
Please realize the water way goes from near Carvel in Franklin Square, down to Valley Stream via Hendrickson Park-Mill Pond-Mill Brook to Woodmere and ultimately leading to Jamaica Bay.
WE NEED MORE SIGNATURES! If you have signed, have everyone in your household sign! This initiative will not only benefit Valley Stream but the other towns mentioned above. It's time to purify our waters.
