As a resident of Valley Stream for over a dozen years, Ive noticed how Mill Pond has gotten dirtier and dirtier to the point where it now looks less like a pond, and more like a swamp.

The pond has white residue, mosquitoes, cans, bottles from probably over 10 years ago, cardboard. There was a time where mill pond used to be very clean (many decades ago) 4-5 feet deep water but now its 1 feet deep with the rest very likely being trash. This is an environmental hazard. This is a start for an initiative to clean all the streams, ponds and lakes that connect to and from Valley Stream Village Mill pond such as the Town's of Hempstead side of Mill Pond, Gibson Blvd Water Stream, Valley Stream Library Water Stream, Hendrickson Park, Woodmere Park to the end where the water leads to Jamaica Bay.

Valley Stream need clearance and funding from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The "Incorporated Village of Valley Stream" is a useless , satan-paganic, illegitimate, and corrupt corporation that likely wants the pond to flood so they can beg for insurance money.
