I want to update all of you , whom im very thankful for in signing this petition of the current development work going on to clean valley streams ponds and lakes. I want to inform you of this project that was initiated by the village of valley stream prior to the uploading of this petition. Since yesterday, the village has undergone a construction project to remove the Mill Pond rocks due to a prominent rodent problem. It is suspected that the rocks that were previously there were breeding grounds for rodents. To replace the rocks, the village will put down blue pebble rocks in a shoreline fashion, similar to the newly put rocks further down mill pond. This project will be the essential first step to what will be, an environmental cleanup of our waterways for the Valley Stream Community. Thank you for your help , we still need more signatures because your signatures and your voice will reach NYS DEC, whose authorization and funding is needed to help clean up the actual waterways. The village is doing a great job right now, fixing up the outsides. Stay tuned for more updates!
