This Bill before the New York State Legislature seeks to eliminate past liability for catering halls and restaurants for improper retention of mandatory service charges held out to customers to be gratuities. Making the customer believe the service charge/gratuity was going to the workers is wrong. The workers are hard working waiters, servers, bartenders, and bussers.  Please vote AGAINST this Bill so places can't get away with taking advantage of their workers like this.  Please allow the courts hear the facts on a case-by-case basis and allow them to decide.
