Full Investigation of Ramarley Graham Shooting

Full Investigation of Ramarley Graham Shooting
The Issue
February 2, 2012, Ramarley Graham, an 18 year old African-American man, was shot and killed after NYPD entered his home in the Bronx, New York without a warrant. The officers were a plain clothes unit that had followed Graham home from a local corner store. One of the officers suspected that Graham was armed. However, The New York Police Department spokesman has stated that there is no evidence that Ramarley Graham was ever armed when the police entered his home. All that was found at the house was a small amount of marijuana in the toilet. The name of the officer who shot Graham is being withheld for the time being. Ramarley Graham was taken to Montefiore Medical Center where he was declared dead.
Neighbors and residents of the Wakefield area have all come out to protest the shooting of Ramarley Graham and demand justice. This is the third shooting in a week that a suspect has been killed by the police of this department.
It is unconscionable to take the life of a human being with such swiftness. Another life extinguished. It is important that this matter be investigated and justice carried out to the fullest extent.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
