Terrapin Part 1 is one of the most wonderfully expansive and intricate pieces of music put to a studio album in the 20th century. To my knowledge, it has rarely been played by the Grateful Dead, Further, Dead & Co. or any affiliate thereof, in full. I want to make that happen. However, the only way this can truly be accomplished is with the help of a proper orchestra. Given the loss of Robert Hunter (the lyricist for Terrapin Part 1) a short time ago and the ever aging cast of the band, it's time Dead fans get to see a proper rendition of Terrapin Part 1.

As such, I propose the New York Philharmonic join Dead & Co. for a full rendition of Terrapin Part 1 on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Madison Square Garden.
