Our idea is to gather the faithful fans here at the coliseum one last time before our beloved Islanders move on to bigger and better things in Brooklyn.  Sending off the coliseum with an event that we all know best, our pregame ritual, the tailgate. Our hope is that for one last time, the New York Islanders and their fans can gather and give back to one another before they relocate, while donating and collecting money for a worthy cause.

Charging a per car fee at the booths, we came up with the idea that a percentage would go to a charity of the islanders choice.  We are aiming for a family environment for us to enjoy “our barn” one more time.  Other ideas include a pick up roller hockey game, autographs, and possibly even team store sales.  All with a portion of proceeds going to a charity.  We are not looking to use this as an opportunity to drive out and become intoxicated, but rather a family environment to enjoy each others company one last time. I speak for many when I say I have met so many amazing “strangers” this past season.  I use quotes because over time, I have gotten to know these individuals as family.
