Problem
Eli Manning. He takes sacks so easily, he lacks the eye level to see receivers wide open downfield. While OBJ needs to be more mature about it, I can`t imagine how unbelievably frustrating it must be for a player of his caliber to be playing with a quarterback as bad as Eli. He has become check-down Charlie. The biggest issue is the Giants organization is addicted to Eli Manning. They cannot let him go, they cannot get him out of their mind it is borderline obsessive. They will look for every excuse in the book to bring Eli back next year, they will probably cut every seemingly competent quarterback on the roster just so that they can safely say `Eli gives us the best chance to win.` John Mara, overnight, has become one of the worst owners in the NFL. John Mara and no one else is holding this team back, he is infatuated with Eli and it has to stop.

Solution
The New York Giants need to bench Eli manning, and play Kyle Lauletta. Whether Kyle is any good is actually irrelevant. This franchise is operating backwards right now and I feel that we will be left in the dust. The Giants are currently one of the worst run franchises in the NFL. Instead of hiring a young coach and innovative GM, they instead hired what makes them `comfortable.` The Giants were once known as one of the best franchises in the NFL, that can longer be said. Nothing will change as long as the Giants have the ridiculous idea of having Eli manning as the starting quarterback. If the Giants do not change, it is up to us, the fans, the media to hit them where it hurts. Turn off the games, don`t go to the games and hit them where it hurts. I am a proud Giants fan and I will not accept mediocrity as easily as Pat Shurmur, Dave Gettleman, and especially John Mara have. Eli has been great but like all things there comes a time to move on, the time is now.

Personal story
I am a Giants fan through and through. The first game I ever watched was Eli Manning`s first game as the starter. That was in 2004 and I was 8 years old. I love Eli Manning, he has brought me more sporting joy than I could ever have imagined. However, I am now 21 years old and as much as I love Eli Manning, I love the New York Giants more. That is why I have to put my personal feelings for Eli Manning aside, he must go. For those of you who spend your time defending Eli by blaming OBJ, Coaching, and the offensive line, you are doing your team a disservice. There is no other reason to defend him than your personal feelings and you people are the reason for the second year in row the Giants will be picking at the top of the draft. I do not know all the answers, I do not know who the quarterback should be. The one thing I do know is that it should not and it can not be, Eli Manning.
