We, the parents, teachers, staff and community surrounding Hunter’s Point Community Middle School, recognize the importance and need for stop signs and crosswalks on 5th Street at the intersection of 51st Avenue.  NYC Vision Zero promises to protect our children with every tool possible, and this change will help protect our children from traffic as they walk from the subway to school.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to install stop signs and paint crosswalk lines on 5th Street at the intersection of 51st Avenue, 1 block away from the Hunter’s Point Community Middle School in Long Island City.
