Update the Murray Playground Dog Run in Long Island City

The Issue

Murray Playground (Located in Long Island City) has received a full renovation/upgrade, except for its dog run. The dog run, for many years, has been a dirt filled area with many rocks scattered around. There have been many incidents and reviews (google) stating dogs hurting their paws due to the rocks and the dirty conditions. The dog run is clearly neglected and would benefit by becoming a concrete based dog run similar to Hunters Point South Dog Run.

Currently there are dirty plastic/breakable chairs in the dog run that when/if broken can cause harm to the dogs and people. Dirt is kicked all around the area when dogs are playing. The Long Island City community would absolutely benefit from a renovated dog park. Our dogs and residents deserve a safe and clean area to properly socialize. The LIC residents have watched countless condo's go up and renovations be made without having the Murray dog run considered.
