Today the Land Use Committee then New York City Council voted to approve the entire Central Harlem Historic District with the boundaries defined by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. This means that the former stables at 161 West 132nd St remain within the Central Harlem Historic District. We were commended by many Council members for continuing work throughout this process to ensure that our voices were heard. Thank you all for your support. This petition played a huge role!
