Hello everyone, New York State Assemblyman, Colin J. Schmitt, here. As an elected official representing Orange and Rockland Counties, I along with my colleagues have been urging the renaming of the Mario M. Cuomo bridge back to its original and respected name – the Tappan Zee Bridge. Please sign this petition. We all need your immediate help. Now that King Cuomo’s crown has been kicked and he has been forced into early retirement due to his repulsive behavior, it is time to take action and reverse the absurdities that came from his administration. Please sign today, call your local representatives in the Assembly and Senate, and keep up the pressure. We can make a change. We can stand together and get this done. Let’s bring back the Tappan Zee! Much appreciated, Colin J. Schmitt Member of the Assembly, 99th District

Dear Friends- I am proud to sponsor legislation-S7323 that would remove the Cuomo name from our beloved bridge and restore its respected and historic name-the Tappan Zee Bridge. Andrew Cuomo is an abuser and a bully, In the dead of night in 2017, he blackmailed legislators into changing the name of the bridge to honor his father. In truth, he would have named it after himself if he could have found any credible means to do so. As with most things, the renaming of this bridge was about Andrew Cuomo's arrogance and vanity. Now that the Governor is finally on his way out the door and his horrible legacy has been laid bare for all to see, it is long past time to remove his stained family name from its most visible spot-the Tappan Zee Bridge. I'm grateful to all who have signed a petition to support this cause and for your the resilience and fortitude of those who have volunteered to lead this project. We are closer than ever to achieving our goal and we need to keep up the pressure. Please call your local State Senator and ask him or her to sign on to S7323 as a co-sponsor. This is not a partisan issue, it is something both Democrats and Republicans can and should agree on. Let's make a clean break from the tainted legacy of Andrew Cuomo and restore an honorable name to one of the countries most iconic bridges! Sincerely, Senator Mike Martucci

Hi, This is New York State Assemblyman Mike Lawler from Rockland County. In recent weeks, I've been making a push to get the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge renamed back to what it should be called - the Tappan Zee. But I need YOUR HELP. My bill A.6594 would make sure that the bridge is renamed the Tappan Zee, to better reflect the rich history of our region and acknowledge the Native Americans who lived here, as well as the Dutch settlers who came here hundreds of years ago. With Governor Andrew Cuomo resigning in disgrace, now is the time to remove the Cuomo name from this iconic bridge. In order to do so, I need you to call your Assembly Members and Senators to encourage them to support the following: Bill A.6594 if they're in the Assembly OR Bill S.7323 if they're in the Senate. You can find your state legislators by clicking here for the Assembly (https://nyassembly.gov/mem/search/) and clicking here for the Senate (https://www.nysenate.gov/find-my-senator). Together, we can rename this bridge and call it by its rightful name - The Tappan Zee. I appreciate your support for this effort - now let's get this done, together. Sincerely Assemblyman Mike Lawler
